As we look back on 2025, one thing stands out above all else: it’s been a year defined by connection.
From community events and industry expos to team celebrations and dealer events, 2025 has been a busy and rewarding year for Cherry Godfrey Group across Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight and Southampton. It’s been a year of strengthening relationships, supporting local businesses, celebrating our people, and continuing to do what we do best; offering advice that truly values you.
Here’s a look back at some of the key moments that made 2025 so special.
Business & Networking: Bringing People Together
Throughout 2025, we hosted and supported a wide range of business networking events, creating relaxed, welcoming spaces for conversation, collaboration and connection.
Southampton Networking Events
Our Southampton office hosted multiple networking mornings across the year, including popular events in May, August, and a festive December get-together. With over 30 attendees at some events, it was fantastic to welcome both familiar faces and new connections from across the local business community.
Isle of Man: Start-Up Special
In September, we were proud to support local entrepreneurs at the Isle of Man Business Networking Start-Up Special, helping early-stage businesses connect, share ideas and access advice to support their growth.
Headline Sponsorships & Expos
We were delighted to be:
- Headline sponsors at the Bournemouth Business Expo, meeting businesses from a huge range of industries
- Exhibitors at the Isle of Wight Expo, speaking with organisations from across the island
- Headline sponsors of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Briefing, where our Lending Manager, Simon, spoke about how Cherry Godfrey can support business productivity through the Better Business Support Package
A New Office for the Isle of Man Team
2025 also marked an exciting milestone as we officially moved into our new Isle of Man office.
We were thrilled to welcome clients, partners and members of the local business community to celebrate with us, and we look forward to continuing to support individuals and businesses on the island for many years to come.
On the International Stage: ICE Barcelona 2025
In January, our Isle of Man team attended ICE 2025 in Barcelona, the gaming industry’s most influential international exhibition.
With over 55,000 attendees from more than 100 countries, our Insurance Director Alexie, joined by Jimmy Heaton from Rokstone Underwriting, spent three days engaging with gaming operators and corporate service providers from around the world. A huge thank you to Digital Isle of Man for the opportunity to be stand partners at such a prestigious event.
Partner & Investor Events: Celebrating Collaboration
Annual Drinks Reception – Guernsey & Jersey
We had the pleasure of hosting our Annual Drinks Reception at Alba in the Market Square, Guernsey. It was a fantastic evening enjoying delicious local food and catching up with our investors to reflect on the past year and share our exciting plans for the future.
We also hosted our Jersey Annual Drinks Reception at the Beach House, enjoying great weather, great conversations, and the chance to reflect on the year with our valued investors.
Ad-Mazing Creations: Creativity in the Community
2025 saw the launch of Ad-Mazing Creations, our community initiative celebrating creativity and imagination.
Seeing the ideas, artwork and enthusiasm from participants has been a real highlight, and we loved sharing the latest round of photos as the project continued to grow.
Supporting Sport & Charity
We were proud to support and sponsor a number of sporting and charitable events this year, including:
- Sponsoring the Hockley Pro Am Golf Tournament, enjoying a fantastic day on the course
- Supporting a charity golf day at Westridge Golf Centre, helping to raise funds for Mountbatten Isle of Wight
- In Jersey, we were delighted to announce our headline sponsorship of the Cherry Godfrey Jersey FA Women’s League.
- Cherry Godfrey proudly sponsored Emily Fern’s Christmas Dream, supporting a special initiative that brought festive cheer to the community.
- In the Isle of Man, Alexie McGrath completed an end-to-end walk to support their chosen charity.
These events reflect our commitment to giving back to the communities we’re part of.
Summer Party 2025: Celebrating Our People
No roundup of 2025 would be complete without mentioning our Cherry Godfrey Summer Party, held on the magical Herm Island.
From boat rides and beach vibes to neon glow and live music, colleagues and their partners from across all our locations came together for an unforgettable Full Moon Party. This event was our way of saying thank you to our incredible team - your hard work, positivity and commitment are what make Cherry Godfrey what it is.
A huge thank you to Herm Island for giving us the opportunity to create such a special evening for our wonderful staff.
A New Way to Connect: The Cherry Godfrey Podcast
2025 also marked the launch of the Cherry Godfrey Podcast, giving us a new platform to share insights, conversations and advice in an accessible, engaging way.
As we reflect on 2025, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together with our clients, partners, communities and colleagues.
Looking Ahead - The Cherry Godfrey Cup: Championing Women’s Sport in 2026
After an amazing debut in 2024 of the Cherry Godfrey Cup in Jersey, we have been working behind the scenes in 2025 to bring back the energy back 2026 at Victoria Park, Guernsey, 26th – 27th June!
Four islands, two days, one incredible celebration of women’s football and island pride. We hope to make it bigger, louder and more inspiring than ever. Stay tuned for all the behind-the-scenes action, player highlights and event updates.
