At a time when businesses are generally scaling back, financial services firm Cherry Godfrey is investing further in its Isle of Man business to bring more services to islanders.
Cherry Godfrey is enhancing its local business with the addition of insurance products and with the appointment of a new head of lending.
Cherry Godfrey Group Director of Insurance, Tim Rattray, is delighted to add this new service to the Isle of Man offering: ‘The insurance arms of Cherry Godfrey have been very successful in the Jersey and Guernsey offices and it was always the intention to replicate the suite of products in the Isle of Man.
‘The insurance we can provide to customers complements the finance business because we can cover businesses as well as individuals for all of their insurance requirements.
Alexie McGrath will be heading up the insurance arm of the business, as Director, having moved from her role as Commercial Insurance Manager with a local insurance broker. Alexie is joined by Kirree Watterson who is also very experienced in commercial and personal insurance.
‘Kirree and I are looking forward to being part of the Cherry Godfrey success story and enhancing what is already a great service for islanders. We will be able to offer Commercial insurance products for all businesses and Professional Indemnity and Directors’ & Officers’ Liability as well as Car, Household, Marine and Travel insurance.’

Paul’s years of experience have provided him with a valuable insight into the island’s lending habits and the support Cherry Godfrey can offer in the current climate.
‘Our working capital loans are very important in this recent pandemic. With the challenges ahead we are here to support the local community and are focused on building long-term relationships with both our customers and business partners.’
